Vendredi 06/06

Today we practiced RE verb conjugations, reviewed à + le/la/l’/les, used our neighborhood maps to practice giving directions.

A Faire:  pg 281 #10 (for each one, anwer the question by replacing the « qui » in your answer with the subjects in partentheses and changing the verb conjugation as appropriate.  Make at least one sentence negative—ne…pas around the verb).

Devoirs :  pg 281 #11 (choose the verb that fits the meaning of the sentence and conjugate it appropriately for the subject), ER/RE Review Front side only( #1: conjugate the verbs for the following subjects… 1. Je  2. Tu  3. Il  4. Nous  5. Vous  6.  Elles  -and- use the places from the box.  #2: conjugate the verb “vendre” correctly and say which object they buy—see pics)  For Loto next week, study:  object/room vocabulary and ER/IR/RE verb vocab (see pgs 280, 268, 109)

Today we did our “sing-off”, practiced using “chez”, reviewed à + le/la/l’/les, and learned how to conjugate RE verbs.

A Faire:  Aller packet #3, do pg 202 #3 orally in partners

Today we listened to seniors present about their language learning experiences and their plans to use it in the future.

Vendredi 30/05

Today we learned about article contractions (de + le, de + les, à + le, à + les), practiced aller and giving directions, then started making a picture of our own, invented “French neighborhoods” (le quartier de __ton nom_ )

A Faire:  pg 203 #6


Devoirs :  finish « quartier » project, pg 202 #3 (questions and answers), take notes pg 205, pg 205 #8 (say each person is going to the other erson’s house using chez).  Start reviewing for the final exam (study all feuille de la semaine for 2nd semester, notes, book—all handouts are on the blog!)

Mercredi 28/05

Today we practiced singing our song for the “sing-off” on Friday and practiced the dialogue from the homework.  We took a verb quiz and learned the verb “aller”.  Then we read out loud the reading from the homework and discussed it in small groups.

A Faire:  pg 201 #1

Devoirs :  pg 196 #3 (use list of places and map on pg 197, don’t have to write merci line), pg 201 #2 (say that on Sunday people are not going to class and say where they actually are going—correct conjugations of “aller”)

Vendredi 23/05

Today we listened to our song “Je Veux” and practiced singing it out loud for our “sing-off” next week.  We learned how to say that places/rooms are next to/far from/near to/to the right of/etc other places and rooms.  Then we played “Loto”.

A Faire:  Feuille de la semaine 34 (vendredi)--Recycle from the question if possible !

Devoirs :  Study ER, IR, avoir, être, faire (verb quiz coming soon!), pg 196 #2 (use map pg 197, write whole dialogue except last line and Pardon Monsieur/Madame), read pg 198 (take notes over underlined vocab and any words you look up) and 199 (note culturelle-take notes), do comprehension questions pg 199 (complete sentences, recycle/use reading!!)

Mercredi 21/05

Today we practiced saying what places are close/far from our house, learned some new house vocabulary, went over homework and then prepared a “Loto” board for vendredi.

A Faire:  feuille de la semaine 34 (mercredi), Qu’est-ce qu’il y a… ? (PowerPoint slide—say what there is on each floor of the house, make sure to specify upstairs/downstairs)


Devoirs :  label all the parts of the house on the diagram using new vocabulary.  Make a floor plan of your dream house, must include: inside and outside features, at least 2 levels, 12 rooms/features (bedroom, kitchen, stairs, backyard, elevator, pool, etc..)  Then write sentences saying that there is on each floor of your house (Qu’est-ce qu’il y a dans ta maison?)  Do on a paper to turn in!!
