Vendredi 31/01

Today we practiced conjugating ER verbs in affirmative and negative sentences, reviewed colors, learned all the conjugations of the verb être and discussed the project.

Handouts/Class Materials:  Ma fênetre project

A Faire:  pg 173 #3 Say what colors the animals are using the formula: animal + est + color (make sure your color agrees with the gender and the number!)

TEC:  pg 99 #1 (rewrite the sentences using the correct conjugation of être)


Devoirs :  pg 100 #3 (rewrite the sentences using a subject pronoun instead of the names given), write rough draft of “qui etes-vous” part of project (2 sentences about your personality and physical description, 5 sentences about a friend or family member—see handout!) to turn in Monday, start visual for project (due Wed!)

Mercredi 29/01

Today in class we reviewed adjectives by talking about our physical and personality descriptions, practiced conjugating ER verbs and making negative sentences with them, and learned colors.

Handouts/Class Materials:  feuille de la semaine 19

A Faire:  pg 113 #10 Say that the people are not doing these things today (make a ne..pas sandwich around the verb!)

TEC:  color the circles on the back of the “feuille” with the correct French colors!

Devoirs : Edit draft of future sentences and bring a typed copy of all drafts including likes and dislikes (they can all be single spaced and on the same paper), pg 113 #11—choose activities from the pictures to say what each person is doing (affirmative sentence) and not doing (negative/ne…pas sentence). Make sure to check your conjugations!

Today we continued conjugating verbs in the plural forms (vous/nous/ils/elles), corrected the homework, and discussed the study guide and review packet.

Lundi 13/01

Today we started conjugating the plural forms of ER verbs (vous/nous/ils/elles) and talked about the subject pronoun “on” (“one” and informal “we”).

Mercredi 08/01

Today we practiced describing the personality and physique of ourselves and others using adjectives.  We also learned how to conjugate regular -ER verbs.


A Faire:  Write a sentence for each picture in the adjective powerpoint (use the adjective list for help!)

TEC:  add the –ER endings, visiter, habiter, inviter, and organizer to the verb chart, do pg 109 #2 (choose which verb fits the meaning of the sentence then rewrite the sentence with the correct conjugation.


Devoirs:  Finish A faire, pg 110 #4 (say where the people are and what he/she is doing there—2 short sentences for each one!)

Lundi 06/01

Today we listened to our song (Sympathique) and wrote some sentences about what we want to do in the future.

A Faire:  write 2 sentences about what you want/would like to do in the future and 1 sentence describing either your personality or your physical attributes.


Devoirs:  Do the « Qu’est-ce que tu veux faire à l’avenir » « sentences (10 total, see handout) and write a physical/personality description for yourself (which ever you did not already do as A faire)
