Vendredi 21/03

Today we did some speaking practice and some review then we took a quiz.

Devoirs :  study/take notes pg 59/63, memorize/practice être/avoir/ER verbs!  (We will have a challenge quiz after break to earn crepe party—if everyone gets 100 %!)

*Watch French movies, listen to French music, speak as much French as possible!!

Mercredi 19/03

Today we reviewed can/want/must (and how to accept/decline invitations), articles, objects, adjectives, and the verb “marcher.”

Today we did some review for the quiz practicing time (J’ai un rendez-vous à..) and some familiar questions (préfères-tu…?  Veux-tu…?  Est-ce que tu aimes…?)

A Faire:  pg 29 #5 (write only Isabelle’s last line, do orally in partners!)

Quiz Friday:  Verbs (etre, avoir, ER), ER verb vocabulary, articles (le/la/les, un/une/des), objets/room vocab including “qu’est-ce que c’est?”, time, prepositions (dans, sur, sous, etc), avoir expressions, Question list #1, adjectives, review the basics too (like months, days, numbers, phrases/expressions, weather, family/people vocab, can/want/must, etc!), Culture: la manifestation et la grève, Mardi Gras, St. Valentin

Vendredi 14/03

 Today we practiced time (expressions for half/quarter hours and the 24-hr clock).  We also did some speaking activities and verb review through a game of battleship.

Today we reviewed articles, and started learning about telling time.  I continued oral interviews.

Today we did some oral practice and then played “loto” with our object vocabulary (Quiz coming very soon!).  We also learned how the word “si” is used in French to contradict a statement/question.

Vendredi 07/03

Today we practiced “il y a” and the new prepositions (pg 144), learned about definite/indefinite articles and continued oral interviews.


A Faire:  Write a sentence using “il y a” for each slide in the PowerPoint

TEC:
*Revise/Finish « Dans ma chambre… » :
Draw a pic of your room/imaginary one.  Give it the title: “Dans ma chambre…”
-Must label and use room vocab on page 144!
-Illustrate prepositions by choosing an object/animal to be in/on/in various places in the room.
-Must use all 5 preps at least once, and 3 twice (total of 8)
-Must write 8 sentences on the back describing where the object/animal is using “Il y a”.
(example: Il y a une chaine-stereo sur le bureau.)
-Color!
*Articles : Definite and Indefinite (Handout)

Devoirs :  study/take notes pg 154.  Do pg 154 #10, pg 155 #11 (questions and answers)

Mercredi 05/03

Today we learned a few more useful classroom objects, how to say “I don’t understand,” “How do you say ____?” and “what does ____ mean?”, and reviewed verbs and expressions.  While I conducted oral interviews, students worked on some oral practice and made Mardi Gras masks.

Today we practiced projects/question list #1, learned about the expression “il y a” and some new prepositions (see pg 144), and started oral interviews.

A Faire:  pg 145 #9
